Approx. 200kms NW of Brisbane. The Burnett Highway (A3) starts at Nanango and travels N to Rockhampton. The Burnett Hwy forms part of Australia’s Country Way.
The main town for the SBRC area. Kingaroy has larger shops including BCF & Woolies, so if you need to resupply, this is a good place to stopover for a few days.
Goomeri is home of the Pumpkin Festival (end of May) and the Big Pumpkin. The bakery is renowned as the place to stop for something to eat.
