Curtain Fig National Park

Location

Curtain Fig National Park

What it is?

The main feature of Curtain Fig National Park is a massive 500 year old Strangler Fig Tree with a boardwalk around the base. Allow yourself some time to walk around the tree and read about how it was formed.

For more information about the Curtain Fig National Park, please visit the Queensland Government website.

What it offers?

A boardwalk circuit track around a 500 year old strangler fig. There is signage along the boardwalk that informs you on how the tree got there and how it formed into what you see today.

Wheelchair Access?

May require assistance.

No facilities at this location.

What we did?

We strolled around the base along the boardwalk. The size of the tree is just amazing. There are informative signs around that inform you on how and why the tree has formed into what it is today. It is quite interesting. If you go at sunset, the colours coming through the tree are quite remarkable.

Highlight?

The impressive size of the tree

Would I do it again?

We went there twice. I probably would walk around it again. I love trees and this is pretty magnificent.
