CATHEDRAL FIG TREE

What it is?

Named for the cathedral like formation of the root system, this 500 year old, 50 metre tall tree is a sight to behold.  The track around the tree is only 300m long, so it shouldn’t take long, depending on how long you stop in awe of this magnificent giant. The Cathedral Fig Tree is in Danbulla National Park

What it offers?

A up close and personal glance at a 500 year old fig tree. There are numerous facts on display as you walk around the base of the tree.

Wheelchair Access?

May require assistance.

Mostly good easy boardwalk, no facilities.

What we did?

We did the 300m loop walk around the base of the tree and took about a hundred photos.

Highlight?

the sheer size of this tree and the way that it formed over hundreds of years.

Would I do it again?

Honestly, i prefer the Curtain Fig.
