Things to do Exploring Australia

Location

PROSTON AND HIVESVILLE

What it is?

Two small country towns and the gateway to Boondoomba Dam

What it offers?

The Heritage Trail; The Community Labyrinth; free (and paid) camping; and the nearby Boondooma Homestead (built in 1847), and Boondooma Dam.

Wheelchair Access?

May require assistance.

What we did?

The Community Labyrinth, a feature on the ground next to the Lions Park; It would be nice if you had some family/friends for a picnic lunch and had some kids running around. We stayed overnight in our camper at the Dam and visited the homestead the next day. If you are looking for work, they are looking for the next caretakers for the site. The site is full of history and old world charm and the wooden features of the main home are beautiful, work you just don’t see anymore.

Highlight?

Boondooma Homestead.

Would I do it again?
