Accommodation is available through Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park. They offer cabins, powered and unpowered sites, and a bunkhouse for larger groups. Pets are welcomed and campfires permitted in some areas. the facilities include hot showers and toilets, BBQs, playgrounds and picnic tables. At the dam you will need a permit to fish as it is a stocked impoundment. There is a small shop with some hot food and plenty of camping. Hot showers and toilets are available throughout the park.
There is also a lookout over the dam that you can either walk or drive to.
As a couple: Pre-downloaded maps on your phone (reception is patchy); water bottles; stainless steel coffee cup; healthy snacks; wide brim hat: sunscreen; bug spray; good sturdy shoes; swimmers and towels (check for blue-green algae); umbrella for sun/rain; jacket; picnic and picnic blanket; food for the stay.

With Pets: No domestic animals allowed in the National Park. Please leave all animals at home or with a pet sitter.
