Before entering the State Forest, you&#8217;ll find a campground, which we noted was surprisingly busy. <\/span><a style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\" href=\"https:\/\/parks.desi.qld.gov.au\/parks\/cathu\/camping\">Jaxut<\/a><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align); background-color: var(--ast-global-color-5);\"> is the main campground within the State Forest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>During our visit, several cars and bikes were exploring the 4WD tracks.<\/p>\n<p>For those seeking the infinity pool, look for a distinctive tree marking the direction to turn (see photos).<\/p>\n<p>Our GPS, DORA (who loves to take us exploring), when we were searching for the lookout, we found ourselves in the middle of the road with no lookout in sight: to find the lookout, continue driving until you reach a fork in the road, then turn left; the lookout is located further along this route.<br><br><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a beautiful spot, perfect for a day trip or a weekend
