Home of the Big Orange and citrus fruit along with Mundubbera, so if you are passing by in Winter, ensure you have some change to buy a box of citrus.<\/p><p>We stayed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/p\/Sunset-Peters-campground-Gayndah-100025077692736\/\">Petes Campground<\/a> and we can highly recommend staying there; be warned though, there are a lot of It is a nice quiet town. We ended up with a few visitors during this time so a few places were visited on more than one occasion, it is good though as you always see\/do something different with different people.\u00a0<\/p><p>When my Aunt and Uncle visited we did a loop out to Mundubbera and back. We started with breakfast at a local cafe, then went onto the railway district where we went on a tour through one of the trains and were told about the history of the place and plans for the future of the area. After that we went to the weir and boat ramp for a look, it was pretty cold being mid-winter, so we didn&#8217;t stay long. From here we went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northburnett.org\/destinations\/gayndah-scenic-drives\">Ideraway Bridge<\/a> and then onto McConnell Lookout. Following the road from the lookout through to Gayndah Mundubbera Road, we stopped to check out the Mount Debateable<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boyneburnettinlandrailtrail.org.au\/\"> bike trail<\/a> stop. We followed Gayndah Mundubbera Road onto Wain&#8217;s Hill Lookout and Mundubbera where we stopped for a picnic lunch along the river. From here we checked out Jones Weir and the boat ramp before heading back to Pete&#8217;s Campground for yet another beautiful sunset.\u00a0<\/p><p>When my daughter visited she brought along her dog George. He loved having a swim at the Gayndah Weir even though the outside temperature was about 10 degrees Celsius. George also loved the railway district and lookouts. He wasn&#8217;t so sure about walking across the Ideraway Bridge with his mum.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Gayndah Historical Museum is quite large and requires a bit of time to be able to have a decent look through, be sure to check out both sides of the street.\u00a0<\/p><p>For 5 of the 6 months we were in Gayndah, we had my eldest daughter&#8217;s dog Bella, so the National Parks were off-limits.
